Young men were given the skills and confidence to explore issues such as bullying, violence and masculinity through the medium of drama and dance. Working with fight choreographers, actors, dancers and film makers the project targeted boys at risk of exclusion from school and aimed to reduce this risk by tackling issues related to behaviour.
Performances have toured cluster schools and a national conference. A video and staff training programme has been created.
The Cultural Co-ordinator for Drama collaborated with the Health Development Officer, teachers and artists to develop the project. As local and national guidelines were met, funding was received from Greater Glasgow NHS Board and West Dunbartonshire Partnership.
